A gorgeously green and sunny Wakefield Park set the scene perfectly this weekend for the HSRCA and friends to take to the track and put on three action-packed days of historic racing.
Good mates were brought together around a tremendous collection of historic racing and sports cars and all got down to a joyful combination of racing, tinkering, chatting, exploring and spectating.
It was a good clean weekend of racing and the competitors did an excellent job of keeping everything on the black stuff and pointed in the right general direction. The pits and paddock were, as always, full of friends enjoying their time together and lovely old cars – a delight to explore.
The M&O feature was good fun and an excellent teaser for the upcoming 2012 Tasman Revival. Thanks to M&O registrar Ed Holly and to everyone involved.
A huge and heartfelt ‘THANK YOU!’ to all of the organisers, entrants, spectators and especially the volunteers who make all of this possible. We are extremely grateful for your tireless support of historic racing and the HSRCA.
It’s the people, friendships and camaraderie that really make these events, so thank you all for getting involved and putting on a great weekend. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again at Eastern Creek in June!
Our first photo gallery is online on our ‘Photo Gallery‘ page here. It takes a wander around the pits and paddock, captures the atmosphere of the event and spices things up with a little track action. Hit this link to check it out.
We have a lot of great content coming up so make sure you stay tuned to www.hsrca.com and head to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hsrca to keep up to date and meet a great group of people.
We love to promote the work of our many talented mates, so if you have photos, video, or stories from the weekend and would like to share them on the club website, send an email to seth@hsrca.com, or drop by the club Facebook page and say hi.
