Private Practice

Online entry for private practice for the 2025 Summer Festival is now closed. However, you can still enter on the day from 7:00am in the Hinxman room. If so, please complete the entry form linked above ahead of time and bring it with you.

The private practice drivers briefing will be run by ARDC and held in the cafe at 8:15am.

Paddock Layout and Use

A paddock map will be available next week. Please adhere to this map, particularly in taking up a position on the skid pan. Also, please assist by parking your tender vehicle and trailer in the designated parking areas (not the paddock.)

Bump In

For those wishing to drop trucks or trailers at the circuit ahead of private practice, we are unable to access the paddock area the evening of Thursday November 27, including garages and carports, as there will be an event running on the circuit at that time.

In lieu of this, drop-off will be permitted from 5:30pm Thursday. Enter via Gate A. Trucks can be parked on the skid pan overnight and trailers parked in P5. Competitors who are ‘self-catering’ on the skid pan can also set up there on Thursday evening. All entrants must leave by 11.00 pm on the Thursday night.

Please note, there will be no access to the paddock area until 6.00 am Friday morning.

Race Meeting Sign-On and Scrutineering

Entry passes and HSRCA sign-on will be available in the Hinxman Room from 11:00 Friday morning (practice day). Please bring the following:

  • Proof of membership of an MSA affiliated car club
  • Your completed “Self Statement of Vehicle Compliance” form
  • Your vehicle logbook, if applicable

We have automatically allocated two entry passes to each competitor. Additional passes will be provided if requested up to a maximum of 4.  Your HSRCA member’s card can act as an additional pass, plus one guest.  Extra passes are available upon request at $30 each. Please only take what you need.

This will also include tender vehicle passes. Please insert your race car number on the tender pass.

Saturday Morning Entry

If you are not arriving at the circuit until Saturday morning, please enter the circuit and set up your car at your allocated space.

Complete your competitor sign-on for the event with the race secretary from 0700. The drivers’ briefing will be at 7:45am in the Hinxman Room.

Media

Media accreditation for the 2025 Summer Festival is now closed.

A media briefing and map document is available in your accreditation acceptance email, along with additional details. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Enter SMSP at Gate A, Ferrers Rd (Main entrance). Please have your ticket handy on your phone, or print it out, to show staff at the gate.

Parking will be on the Figure 8 (P2), which is through the main entrance of Sydney Motorsport Park and after the tunnel, then left past the Medical Centre.

Sign-on will be at race control. Here you will receive your wristband and if required, your vest. You will also have a brief meeting with a member of our team to go over and accept the regulations for the event.

You will need the wristband and vest, or your current Motorsport Australia (CAMS) vest to access the track, pit lane and garages. SMSP vests must be returned and signed out at Race Control at the conclusion of the event.

Spectators

Spectator passes are available online ahead of the event, and will be available at the gate each day. All adult passes include free entry for kids 12 and under.

Gates will be open from 8:00am, with racing starting from 8:30am on both days.

Sydney Motorsport Park is located 40km west of Sydney’s CBD on Brabham Drive/ Ferrers Road at Eastern Creek. It is most easily accessed by car or bike, but is accessible by train or bus. The main spectator entrance is Gate A, which is around the back of the circuit turning left off Ferrers Road and left when you see the ticket booths. General parking is available in the P3 carpark.

Information on getting to the circuit is available on the Sydney Motorsport Park website:

The meeting will offer races for all of our usual fifth category vehicles as well as speed events for vehicles manufactured up to the 2010s and invited cars deemed compatible with those groups.

We’ve heard your feedback on track time at the Sydney Classic, and have made improving it a core focus of our planning going forward. At the Summer Festival, each category will enjoy four races plus qualifying, and we’re organising long races for all categories on Sunday morning.

For our 2025 meeting we are pleased to welcome back Group U Historic Sports Sedans, and will also feature the Group S Enduro and the Dawson-Damer Trophy for 1960s open-wheel race cars.

As always, garages, carports and marquees will be allocated in order of receipt of entries, so first in will be best accommodated. Please place your entries promptly to ensure your desired lodgings.

After a quiet Spring Festival, we hope to see strong support for the Summer Festival, so that we can send the 2025 historic motor racing season off in style ahead of the summer break. We look forward to seeing everyone at Sydney Motorsport Park for an excellent 2025 Summer Festival, November 28 – 30.
