Spectator tickets will be available at the gate on the weekend. Kids 12 and under get in free. Adult tickets are $25 for Saturday, $35 for Sunday and $50 for a weekend pass. Concession tickets are $20 on Saturday, $25 on Sunday and $40 for a weekend pass.
Bump-in and set up will be on Thursday evening. Due to another event, the paddock will not be available until 6.00pm, but the skid pan will be available earlier. If you are located on the skid pan you can move in and set up later afternoon.
A paddock map will be made available shortly. Please adhere to this map, particularly in taking up a position on the skid pan. Also, please assist by parking your tender vehicle and trailer in the designated parking areas (not the paddock.)
HSRCA volunteers will be on hand on Thursday evening to assist with paddock management and directions.
Entry Passes and HSRCA sign-on will be available in the Hinxman Room from Friday morning (Practice Day).
We have allocated two entry passes to each competitor. Your HSRCA members’ card can act as an additional pass. Extra passes are available upon request. Please only take what you need.
This will also include tender vehicle passes. Please insert your race car number on the tender pass.
This will be conducted by the Race Secretary in the Hinxman Room, from Friday morning.
Friday practice will be available as usual and be conducted by the ARDC/Sydney Motorsport Park.
Sign on and payment is at the track on the day. Online entry is available at the SMSP website. Please click this link to sign up for private practice online on the SMSP website. The cost is $160 for ARDC and HSRCA members, $190 for non-members.
Friday practice typically commences at 9.00am. For those present on Friday, admin checking will be open from 11am.
If you are not arriving at the circuit until Saturday morning:
Competitors, if you requested a garage or carport this may be of interest to you.
Entries for the event are very strong! About two weeks before entries closed on the 15th of November, most of the garages were taken. In the week leading up to entries closing, all of the garages and most of the carports were taken.
There are numerous competitor requests to share with or next to others, as well as many other requests including nominating specific garages or carports, and requests to share with someone who has not entered.
When entries are so strong, there is quite limited flexibility to move competitors around in order to meet these requests. However, the Race Committee has met as many of these requests as possible.
Due to the strong entries, and garage overflow, marquees have been arranged, at considerable expense to the Club, and some competitors will be allocated a marquee.
RaceFuels have filled the tanks for us ahead of our Summer Festival meeting. The bowsers uphill from race control will be operating throughout the weekend.
Elf Race 102, E85 and 98 RON and are all available on demand. Credit cards are accepted, just follow the instructions on the card reader.
Elf LMS FIA race fuel is available in 50L drums for pre-order delivery. Please call Mark Tierney on 0419 511 517 to make an order, or if you have any questions. You can download an instruction and pricing form from the following link:

After a quiet weekend out in the country, it’s time to return to Sydney to farewell 2019’s classic motorsport season with a mighty Summer Festival at Sydney Motorsport Park. Entry is now open and available via the CAMS Members’ Portal:

The meeting will offer races for all of our usual fifth category vehicles as well as speed events for vehicles manufactured up to and including the 1990s and invited cars deemed compatible with those groups. We look forward to seeing you!
Our feature events for this meeting include 60 years of Elfin race cars, for which we have planned a display, memorabilia and an all-Elfin sprint. We hope to show off the range of categories this prominent Australian manufacturer competed in.
The BMC Challenge will be a sprint event for sports and touring cars with BMC A-type engines under the hood. This should be a good event, pitting Morris Mini Coopers, MG Midgets, Austin Healey Sprites and the like against each other.
The Dawson-Damer Trophy for Group LMO racing cars and the Group S relay enduro race are two classic features of our summer meeting, and we’re looking forward to good outings this year.
Jack Brabham won his first Formula 1 World Championship 60 years ago in 1959, and we will recognise this achievement over the weekend. He won that championship in a Cooper Climax, which will be represented in the Dawson-Damer trophy race, as will many of the Elfins celebrating their 60 years.
2019 is Bentley’s centenary, and while we don’t see too many Bentleys competing with us, we will be celebrating the marque’s one hundredth birthday with a display and memorabilia. These are spectacular machines with an enviable record in motorsport. They’re highly evocative of the vintage era, and we’re looking forward to hosting them.
As the Summer Festival is the final event of the club’s 2019 season, many of our usual classes will present perpetual trophies at the meeting.
Entrants who are also competing at the 25th Anniversary meeting at Wakefield Park two weekends prior and are travelling long distances may be grateful for car storage at the circuit for the intervening time. Secure open storage may be available at Sydney Motor Sport Park and secure covered storage at Wakefield Park. Storage will be limited, but should be sufficient. Please contact Rod or Richard.
Bump in will be available on Thursday afternoon, before private practice on Friday, and garages should be available from 6pm.
As always, thank you for your continued support of the HSRCA and historic motorsport in Australia. If you have any questions about the meeting or have any feedback, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
See you at the HSRCA Summer Festival this November 30th and December 1st!
