It’s once again time to settle back in to every day life after a brilliant weekend’s historic motorsport. We’re back from our Spring Historics at Wakefield Park, which was awesome, and we have plenty of photos and stories to share with you.
Wakefield Park was resplendent; surrounded by greenery and the wonderful bright yellow of canola. And it was surprisingly mild as well, apart from an impressively blustery Saturday afternoon, setting the scene perfectly for a spot of historic motorsport.
And we were happy to take advantage of it! We put on 37 events throughout the weekend and the quality of racing throughout each and every one of them was excellent. Our commendations go out to the competitors for a very neat weekend!
Everyone we spoke to had a ball in their historic sports and racing cars, whether they were chatting with their mates..
Tinkering with their cars in the pits and paddock..
Or full-tilt on the track.
Most importantly, we couldn’t have done it without our professional and selfless volunteers, who give up their time and offer their skills and experience to make these events possible, and we’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to them for their efforts. THANK YOU!
We’d also like to thank each and every one of you who got involved and made the event such great fun! I say this every time we go out, but it’s the people who make the sport, and we’re very lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful group!
We have two galleries online already, and you can check ’em out by clicking the links below:
