It may be Monday morning and time to settle in to the week of work, but that also means it’s only a few more sleeps until we pack up our families, friends and historic sports and racing cars, and all the bits, bobs and tools that come with them, and head out to Wakefield Park to greet Spring with some historic racing.
To get you through the week, and serve as some historic motorsport inspiration, let’s take a look back at our last trip to the track for February 2013’s Historic Summer at Wakefield Park.
We were there for our Summer Historics, but Goulburn’s summery disposition meant that our first day of competition was met with plenty of moisture and a decidedly soggy and challenging track. Our competitors did a magnificent job of solving this problem with plenty of opposite lock and right-foot steering, and put on a great day of racing.
And they kept it up on the Sunday, when conditions improved and racing got heated.
