Michael Henderson and Bryan Miller have been honoured at the CAMS Motor Sport Awards ‘Champions and Rivals Gala’ for their exceptional contributions to Australian motorsport.
CAMS’ annual awards dinner was held on Saturday the 18th of February, 2017, at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, recognising exceptional efforts and dedication within the Australian motorsport community.
Dr. Michael Henderson was awarded CAMS’ highest honour, the Award of Merit, for his contributions to motorsport safety. In 2004 he was awarded a CAMS Life Membership. Bryan Miller received the CAMS Service Medal for his years of service.
Congratulations Michael and Bryan, and thank you for your contribution to our sport! We would also like to send our immense thanks to all of the men and women who dedicate their talents and time to the motorsport community. You are, without question, the lifeblood of the sport, and we are immeasurably grateful for all that you do.
During the evening, Bill Buckle was awarded the Phil Irving Award in recognition of his 60-year career of engineering excellent, Mark Webber was awarded the Peter Brock Medal for his tremendous career in international motorsport and Dr. Brent May received an FIA award for the Best Doctor of the Season.
