Dear competitor,

Our first historic race meeting of 2020, the Autumn Festival at Wakefield Park, will be held over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of March, 2020, with private practice hosted by the circuit on Friday the 20th. All are welcome, and we look forward to catching up with you to kick off our 2020 season with a relaxed and enjoyable event.

Entry is now open and available via the Motorsport Australia Members’ Portal:

Private practice will be available on Friday the 20th, and will be hosted by Wakefield Park. Book your place through the Wakefield Park website at this link.

The meeting will offer races for all of our usual fifth category vehicles as well as speed events for vehicles manufactured up to the 1990s and invited cars deemed compatible with those groups.

We are continuing to build our offering and are working hard to welcome new drivers to the sport, as well as to provide existing drivers more opportunities. To that end, the Autumn Festival will see the debut of a ‘give another driver a go’ event designed to introduce new drivers to the sport and drivers to new cars and categories.

Current planning is that, by mutual agreement, entrants may allow a guest driver to have a trial run in their car. The format will be a super sprint, with a particular emphasis on managing track proximity and overtaking.

At the Autumn Festival, the event will only be available to standing entrants and drivers for the meeting, so no separate or additional entries for now. A minimum of a L2S Speed licence is required to participate.

The Autumn Festival will also see the return of the BMC Challenge, which ran so successfully at the Summer Festival last year, and Groups Nb and Nc will enjoy a single split race each, allowing the subcategories to compete amongst each other at a lower track density than the full Group N field.

We look forward to seeing you at Wakefield Park in March!

Wishing you all the best for a magic 2020 and a safe and memorable weekend of historic motorsport,
The HSRCA Race Committee
