The meeting will offer races for all of our usual fifth category vehicles as well as speed events for vehicles manufactured up to the 1990s and invited cars deemed compatible with those groups.
During 2019 we will celebrate Formula Ford’s 50th anniversary in Australia. We hope to welcome a great field of Formula Fords and, subject to numbers, plan to provide a separate feature race for the earlier Fa and Fb cars and another for later Fc cars.
We would also like send a special welcome to drivers of early model production cars, such as those from Groups Sa and Na. Plans are in place to include those groups in the programme, so please do support those events and pass our invitation on to friends and family who have an early production car and would like a run.
Finally, following on from the excellent support of the PRB 40th anniversary at the Tasman Festival in December, we encourage participation of Clubmans of all sorts with a view to developing a Clubman series.
The minimum desired grid size for the meeting is 15. The program of events and grid composition will depend on the composition of entrants, but as always we will work hard to accommodate individual interests wherever possible. Speed events include regularity, mainly featuring historic period cars, as well as super sprint for faster and later model cars.
Private practice will be offered on Friday exclusively for competitors attending the meeting. Practice will once again be run by Wakefield Park.
The key contact for this meeting is HSRCA Event Manager Rod Wallace, who will be supported by Richard Cardew and the HSRCA race committee.
We look forward to catching up with everyone and kicking off 2019’s historic motorsport season with an entertaining and social Autumn Festival at Wakefield Park.
Wishing you all the best for a magic 2019 and a safe and memorable weekend of historic motorsport,
The HSRCA Race Committee
