A Brabham BT2 prototype has been stolen from the Kapiti Coast, Paraparaumu Beach, north of Wellington in New Zealand and we are seeking urgent help from the community for any information on its whereabouts.
The car was stolen over the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd of July in the owner’s ‘toy hauler’ converted caravan.
The converted caravan is a lightweight pop top caravan and is somewhat unique, featuring a full-width lift-up tailgate. There are only around six similar caravans featuring that kind of conversion in New Zealand.
As the BT2 is a prototype, it will require someone familiar with early Brabhams or Formula Juniors to identify it.
Any information, sightings or help would be hugely appreciated. Please get in touch with Seth via seth@hsrca.com. Please also pass this request on to friends and family in the historic racing community to help return this car home.
