We’ll be featuring sports racing cars, sports sedans and regularity, with a special welcome to interstate competitors, as well as all of our usual historic classes.
Our second historic race meeting of 2018, the Spring Festival at Wakefield Park, will be held over the 22nd & 23rd of September. We would like to extend a most cordial invitation for you to join us.
Entry is now open via the CAMS Members’ Portal, which you can find on the CAMS homepage:
Supplementary regulations are available on the ‘Events & Entry Forms’ page of the website. Further updates and documentation, including a scrutineer checklist and CAMS Pit Lane Disclaimer will be made available on the same page. Please print the scrutineer checklist and CAMS Pit Lane Disclaimer and bring them along to the event.
The meeting will host championship rounds for Sports 2000s, Formula Ford, Formula Vee, Groups N and S and Regularity. We would like to extend a special welcome to interstate drivers from all eastern states and are pleased to feature a group of sports sedans who will be joining us from Queensland.
Subject to entries, we plan to offer two super sprint grids. One will feature sports sedans and invited touring cars and the second will feature racing and sports arcing cars.
Private practice will be available on Friday exclusively for competitors attending the meeting. Entrants will have access to garages and carports from 4:30PM on the Thursday afternoon.
The Spring Festival will offer a full schedule of events and the program will be designed to provide plentiful track time. We will work closely with each group to ensure that the number and format of events provided reflects their preferences. Categories may be combined to form grids of sufficient size.
During the weekend a commemoration for Mike Gunnell, a past HSRCA president and highly respected club member, will be conducted and we will take this opportunity to scatter his ashes at the circuit as per his wishes.
During lunch breaks parade laps will be available for car display entrants. Officials who would like to participate in these should contact André Breit at vicepresident@hsrca.com.
Situated in peaceful Goulburn, Wakefield Park offers an opportunity for a weekend away with friends who enjoy motorsport. We will endeavour to retain that character and also provide more supporting activity to ensure that friends, family and all members of our fraternity enjoy the weekend. Such activities will include car club displays, stalls and activities for children as well as the usual social event on Saturday evening in thanks to officials.
It is essential to note that noise limits are strictly enforced by Wakefield Park management. There is increasing fuss from locals on this issue, so come prepared to muffle your vehicles. Wakefield Park management will do what they can to help but can only give a car one chance to fix it.
Please contact us if you expect to arrive after hours or if you have motorised accommodation with self-contained ablution and wish to enquire about camping.
Entries are scheduled to close on the Friday 4th September 2018. Please enter via CAMS event entry. If that is difficult for you, please get in touch and we will provide a traditional entry form.
Thanks as always for your support of the club and the sport as a whole. We look forward to seeing you to ring in the spring at Wakefield Park this September!
