It is with sadness that we write to inform you of the passing of Trevor Bailey on Monday, 22 July. Many of our early members will remember Trevor who, along with his wife Denise, was the organiser and secretary for most of our earliest race meetings.
Starting with running events for the MG Car Club, the couple was soon “recruited” in 1986 to run our events, which they did successfully for thirteen years. This was during a period in which the Historic category went through a very great growth spurt. In 1997, the couple decided to take the caravan trip around Australia which certainly was a highlight of their nearly 60 years of marriage.
The family plan a private funeral, but invite their HSRCA friends to a wake to be held on Tuesday the 30th of July at the Davistown RSL (19 Murna Road, Davistown (Central Coast)).
