Entry is now open for the HSRCA’s 2022 New Year Historics at Wakefield Park, to be held over the 29th and 30th of January, with private practice available on Friday the 28th. You are most cordially invited!
Reviving past Australia Day meetings, our first historic race meeting of 2022, the New Year Historics at Wakefield Park, will be the first of the year in Australia. Join us at Wakefield Park over the 29th and 30th of January, with private practice on Friday the 28th.
Enter via the Motorsport Australia members’ portal as usual:
Please download and review the draft supplementary regulations below. A final document will be made available in the coming days once final approval is completed by Motorsport Australia.
The meeting will offer races for all of our usual fifth category vehicles as well as speed events for vehicles manufactured up to the 1990s and invited cars deemed compatible with those groups.
After another topsy-turvy year in 2021 offering all-too-little motor sport, we’re taking 2022 flat out and opening the books with the first historic meeting in the country. The plan for this meeting is a simple one – get together and enjoy a weekend of motor sport and good company in countryside Goulburn.
Private practice will be offered on Friday the 28th of January, and will once again be run by Wakefield Park.
We are confident that we will be able to hold a normal meeting, although the usual caveats apply for the usual reasons. For those same reasons, we will be monitoring both the situation and the governmental regulations applying to it closely, and will adapt as necessary to ensure a compliant, safe and enjoyable meeting for all.
We look forward to catching up with everyone and kicking off 2022’s historic motor sport season with an entertaining and well-supported New Year Historics meeting at Wakefield Park.
Wishing you all the best for a healthy, safe and happy 2022 and a safe and memorable weekend of historic motorsport,
The HSRCA Race Committee
