2019’s Unique Cars Rolling 30

The inaugural Unique Cars Rolling 30 was held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019. We took part with a display kindly organised by Dan Bando. Read on for a few thoughts on the day, thanks to Dan.

Unique Cars Rolling 30 2019

I’m happy to report that the first ever Unique Cars Rolling 30 was a fun and relaxing day, complimented by superb weather for the second day of winter. It was a good opportunity to promote the club and our upcoming events, and I was able to hand out about 150 flyers promoting our 2019 meetings.

Passenger rides were allowed throughout the day, with speed limits applied to classic cars. There were race car sessions too, with passengers also allowed. The race cars were really moving, but no overtaking was permitted. There were some pretty big grins as people exited the cars after each session.

Being the only open wheeler I had three sessions to myself, which was awesome!

With the inaugural running of the event in the books, I hope to have helped attract a few more spectators and possibly inspired a competitor or two. If this event goes ahead next year I’m hoping we can get many HSRCA members and their families and friends along.

  1. We took our MGB/MX5 regularity car out for a run & my grandson was a passenger & had a ball. A fun day with no pressure. Thoroughly recommend it for non serious competitors.
