2023 HSRCA AGM

Denistone Sporting Club, 59 Chatham Road, West Ryde, at 6:45pm on Wednesday, 15 November 2023 with dinner from 5:30pm

The AGM will be held at the Denistone Club on Wednesday 15 November 2023 at 6:45pm. Business will include adoption of the accounts and election of the new committee and be followed by an after-dinner speaker of great reputation in the world of motoring journalism – Peter Robinson.

The AGM is important because it is an opportunity to review the year and we invite comment on the way the HSRCA responds to the challenges and opportunities that lie before it. There are important issues for us to consider and we value your guidance and input.

We would like to send a special ‘Thank you!’ to Geoff Morse, who has served across four presidents and will be standing down this year.

Outside of Geoff, the current committee, with whom I have enjoyed working all year, will offer themselves for election but we are always pleased to receive nominations from further volunteers to serve the Club. I will be willing to continue, as will Nick Mansell as vice president – however any nomination for these positions will be welcome, I will never be offended by any other candidate who volunteers!

Our Special Guest Speaker

Peter Robinson was a longtime editor of Wheels and Autocar, banned twice by Ferrari, a fearless opinion-maker on all sorts of cars, and director of the Australian Motor Heritage Foundation, which we have supported.

Robbo will be interviewed by our life member Brian Caldersmith and it should be a rollicking good discussion. Questions from the floor will be encouraged!

Members are provided with a free dinner on this night, as is our tradition, and it is an opportunity to catch up with your historic racing friends.
