ARDC Super 70

The HSRCA has been asked to field a selection of racing and sports cars from the ’50s through to the ’70s for a track demonstration at the ARDC’s celebratory ARDC Super 70 event on Sunday the 4th of September.

The ARDC Super 70 will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club, bringing together cars and drivers of the past 70 years and covering everything from classic open wheelers and touring cars, to drifting and modified vehicles. It will be held over the father’s day weekend and put on two days of motorsport, with Group N, Group S, Heritage Touring Cars, HQ Holdens, National Sports Sedans, Production Touring Cars and Superkarts all competing.

There will also be a car show on the main straight, drifting on the figure eight and a light display in the evening.

We have been asked to assist in providing a slection of racing and sports cars from the ’50s through to the ’70s to be involved in an on-track demonstration at lunchtime on Sunday the 4th of September. It’s a wonderful opportunity to promote our club and historic motor racing in general, and we are hoping to see some TV coverage to bring it to a broader audience. The organisers will provide entry passes for the day.
