Lunch with Vern Schuppan

The first meeting in our social program for the year is a lunch with Vern Schuppan. Garry Simkin has been trying to arrange a visit for some time. Paul Newby will interview Vern and it will be an opportunity to ask questions and socialise.
Vern Schuppan will be the HSRCA’s guest speaker at a social lunch on Tuesday, February 19th, to be held at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club, 117 Ryedale Road, West Ryde.
The South Australian is possibly better known overseas than in Australia, having competed extensively in Formula 1, Indy car racing, Formula 5000 and endurance racing, including a win at Le Mans. He also ran at Bathurst and has significant experience in several other categories of motorsport. Recently, Vern has been participating in local historic events in his Lago Talbot.
Paul Newby will conduct a “Q and A” session with Vern, starting at 11:30 am. Please be seated in the Willandra Room by this time.
The club is easily accessed by the West Ryde train station, so break out the Opal card. Alternatively, parking is available under the venue. Three restaurants offer a good variety of lunch options after the talk within the venue.
