Choose Your Adventure: July Social Event to be Run as Dual Drive Day

Come along to one of two concurrent drive events on Tuesday, the 14th of July as we head south to the Camden Valley Inn and north to the Great Northern Trading Post to get the cars out for a run and enjoy a social catch-up.

Social restrictions are slowly relaxing, but respect for social distancing and the prevailing global condition is still paramount. Those restrictions still in place are also likely to make it difficult to accommodate the lunch and speaker at West Ryde previously-planed for July 14th.

That said, we have an opportunity to take the cars out for a drive and catch up in a safe way, while also accounting for the sprawling and busy city across which our members are spread. So, in lieu of the previously-planned event we have organised two social drives to venues on opposite ends of the city for Tuesday the 14th of July. Read on for the details.

As numbers must be strictly managed, if you wish to partake in either run please send Seth an email at seth@hsrca.com with your name and the run you would like to attend. We look forward to seeing you!

South-West and Southern Highlands: Camden Valley Inn

For those who live towards the south-west of the city, Wayne Wilson has kindly organised a run to Camden Valley Inn (290 Remembrance Drive, Cawdor NSW 2570). Tuesdays are quiet at the venue and an outdoor area is available to accommodate 40 people for a bistro lunch. Plenty of parking is available and the parking area is monitored by CCTV.

We’ll be meeting at Camden Valley Inn from 12:00pm for a bistro lunch and catch-up.

North Side, Hunter Valley and Surrounds: Great Northern Trading Post, Laguna

For those who live on the north side of Sydney, and our nearby Hunter Valley members, Richard Cardew has organised a run to the Great Northern Trading Post in Laguna.

Laguna is between Kulnurra and Wollombi on the plateau behind the Central Coast and is accessed via Peats Ridge Rd. It’s an enjoyable drive, and attendees might like to fortify themselves with caffeine at one of the many cafes that cater for travelers on the way.

The eatery at Laguna is able to serve 40 people. Its address is 3718 Great Northern Road Laguna. We will meet from 12:00pm for a bite to eat and a chat.
