Please join us for our Annual General Meeting at 7:30pm on the evening of Tuesday the 20th of October at Denistone Sporting Club. COVID-19 protocols will apply and the venue limit is 50, which is slightly more than attended last year.
The AGM is important because it is an opportunity to review the year and invite comment on the way the HSRCA responds to the challenges and opportunities that lie before it. There are important issues for us to consider this year and we value your guidance and advice.
It has been both a challenging and rewarding year with good prospects in both the short and long term.
We have lost fewer members in this last year but may not have heard of losses or poor health amongst close family members. Let us know if you know of others. It is a time for reflection and appreciation for the lives of our friends and colleagues.
We propose several changes to the Constitution which are set out and explained in a separate paper that will be sent soon. These are made for clarification, improvements based on experience, impact of digital technology, availability of volunteers and efficiency, all intended to be beneficial to the core values of the Club (captured in our Business Plan).
We will be awarding trophies for service to the Club.
So, join the celebration. As happened last year, meals are free so come along a little early for a catch-up and a bite to eat.
Papers will be available in the second week of October
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Richard Cardew
President, HSRCA
