Vale: Brian Pymble
Its with great sadness that I pass on the news that my father Brian Pymble passed away on Friday the 23rd of March. He suffered for many years with a lung illness and had a fall two months ago. Unfortunately, he never recovered enough to get out of hospital.
He was a staunch supporter of historic motorsport and loved his racing and the many people who were his friends from the ’60s and competitors he met through the HSRCA.
I never would have had the chance to drive a racing car without my father’s help. To drive our Brabham BT6 was a great thrill, but nothing compared to the feeling of when I made him proud of my driving.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Brian’s connection to the club was a strong one. Having joined in the mid 1980s, he acted as Treasurer for many years and was recently made a life member. Since his retirement to the South Coast, his involvement necessarily reduced, but his passion for historic racing cars was with him to the end.
He is survived by his wife Michelle, sons Simon and Nick and their partners Claude and Georgie, and granddaughter Lucinda.
