We look forward to great racing throughout the field, and there are strong grids throughout. In particular, Group S is nearing track density with an awesome field of sports cars, Group N and Heritage Touring Cars both have good showings set to thrill fans of touring car racing and the speed event fields of Super Sprint and Regularity are packed with interesting machinery from all corners of the motoring world.
M, O, P and Formula Junior have put together one of the biggest fields of the iconic race cars we’ve seen in a long time, and the big wings ‘n slicks cars of Q, R and Invited Sports and Racing are sure to put on a show. Formula Ford is also looking strong, with 20 of the cars sure to produce some tight competition, as are the Formula Vees and Group L cars that are running together over the weekend.
Sydney Motorsport Park is located 40km west of Sydney’s CBD on Brabham Drive/ Ferrers Road at Eastern Creek. It is most easily accessed by car or bike, but is accessible by train or bus. The main spectator entrance is Gate A, which is around the back of the circuit turning left off Ferrers Road and left when you see the ticket booths.
Information on getting to the circuit is available on the Sydney Motorsport Park website at this link.
Enjoy the racing, and when you need a break from that, the pits and paddock at HSRCA events are about as friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable as you can find. So make sure to take a wander around the circuit to enjoy the unparalleled access that historic motorsport offers, make a few new friends, catch up with some old ones and get up close and personal with the cars.
You’ll be able to grab a bite to eat or a drink at the circuit, and the cafe provides a comfortable place to get off your feet and take a break from the song of motor sport that is sure to fill the circuit all weekend long. On that note, bringing hearing protection along with your usual hat and suncream isn’t a bad idea, especially if you’re bringing little ones along. Finally, please take care to respect the prevailing global condition and practice appropriate social distancing and hygiene.
