Denistone Sporting Club, 59 Chatham Road, West Ryde, at 7:30pm on Wednesday, 10 November 2021 with dinner from 6:00pm
Please join us for our 2021 Annual General Meeting on the evening of Wednesday 10 November, 2021, preceded by dinner.
COVID-19 regulations will apply, including social distancing, venue capacity limits and the requirement to be able to show proof of double vaccination. In order for us to manage numbers, please let us know via email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you intend to join us.
The AGM is important because it is an opportunity to review the year and invite comment on the way the HSRCA responds to the challenges and opportunities that lie before it. There are important issues for us to consider and we value your guidance and advice.
It has been both a challenging and rewarding year with COVID and extreme weather affecting our planned activities, although we managed four race events last financial year including a successful and memorable tribute event to our first patron in June.
We have lost a few members in this last year but we may not have heard of losses or poor health affecting friends. Let us know if you become aware of our members who are not doing well. It is a time for reflection and appreciation for the lives of our friends and colleagues.
We are proposing several changes to the Constitution which are set out and explained in papers available for download below. These are made for clarification, improvements based on experience, impact of digital technology, availability of volunteers and efficiency, all intended to be beneficial to the core values of the Club.
All the committee and office holders have indicated their wish to continue to serve, and in my first year as president it has been wonderful to be part of a team which is focussed on our members, and the contribution of all our committee is much appreciated
I hope you can join us at Denistone on Wednesday 10 November when meals will be free and we can catch up with our locked-down friends and complete this necessary club business from 7.30pm. The venue will be open for dinner from 6:00pm.
Note: If you can’t attend the meeting and want to make your vote count, please download the below proxy voting form. And if you would like to be a part of the committee, there is also a nomination form.
